This nice fellow wanted to run along and/or play with me when I was out jogging today. I am used to being barked or growled at by canines whose property I pass by (I understand it's their job and not their fault that I'm so jumpy), so this was especially pleasant.

I just finished page 100 of my Masters thesis. Unfortunately, it should not be longer than 100 pages,* so I'll have to make cuts to previous sections (the chapters I just copied from other people - because what do they know anyway?!) to be able to present the rest of my own analysis. * Luckily, there is no limit on the number of footnotes.

I'm sick. Not only does that keep me from going about my usual jogging routine, but it also spoils my plan of taking part in a 10K race this Sunday, for which I have trained the last couple of weeks and was highly motivated. It's not the last opportunity for me to run an official race, but I'm thinking it's the last one for this year. Bummer.

I haven't been sick for about a year, so I should not complain. Also, it's not too bad - I just feel lightheaded and weak - so I should not complain. And on very bright note, this vegetable soup is delicious, so I should really not complain.

I'm gonna lie around like a cat and rest now...
